Tim Hildebrandt has died.

You do know him. He's one half of the Brothers Hildebrandt. They're famous for the original Star Wars poster, most of the way we see the Lord of the Rings characters, and some of the most incredible bits of comic book card art in the 90's. The art world will never be the same.

Man, that's sad. They had a painting that was quite famous when I was in high school/college. Damn near everyone had it. They did some amazing work.
